Think Rich Pinoy Wealth Seminar

After reading the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, I've always sought for a Filipino counter part of Rich Dad. It was the book Think Rich Pinoy by  Larry Gamboa that I stumbled upon. To make the matter more interesting, Sir Larry offers a seminar about Real Estate investing. I've always wanted to attend Sir Larry's Think Rich Pinoy Wealth Seminar. I still remember those days that the seminar would only cost around Php2000 but I could not make a commitment to attend his seminar. I've always fell contented reading his books and other book that could enrich my knowledge in real estate. But what is knowledge without action. I've also learned in a seminar from John Calub that what is more important than knowledge is wisdom. Wisdom, as he defined it is knowledge in action. Action put your mind and knowledge to the test. It enhances your thinking capability. It sharpens your skills. It drives you to take more action. So late last year I made a commitment to myself that I would attend Larry Gamboa's TRP Seminar this 2013. Then one day, I saw an ad in facebook that tells me join the TRP Seminar of Sir Larry on February 9, 2013. Now, the price may have gone up a couple of thousands but that does not stop me to attend now.

The seminar was held at Enderun College in McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The program started with Bro Bo Sanchez sharing his wisdom on the Theology of Money. On the side note, Bro. Bo is my Stock Market investing mentor. I am registered member of his Truly Rich Club. To find out more about this magnificent club, CLICK HERE. Many Filipinos fall into the trap of not wanting to get rich because many of us believe that God will provide. And God has done that, provide. But many also fail to see that God is also providing them this opportunity to become rich to be able to enrich others as well. I think this message is one that is of most important message to be given on a seminar about investing. With the mindset correctly placed anything that you will learn will help you to become a better person.

Sir Larry Gamboa shared his knowledge about his real estate investing now. It has evolved from a Rent-to-own business to a more productive Internet business. He also posts a challenge to every participant to become a MAVEN in the industry we wish to pursue. A Maven is trusted expert in particular field, who seeks to pass knowledge onto others. And one of the steps that I took as an answer to his challenge was to make this financial blog. I learned that as I continue to write blogs, I learn. As I continue to share my experiences, I learn. And while I am writing this blog, I learn. What a great way to share and learn at the same time. Next on the list is the game.

One reason why I really wanted to attend the seminar is because I want to experience to play the board game Cashflow 101 that Robert Kiyosaki popularized. I've already tried playing the computer version and the online version. But playing the game with other people makes the game more interesting. You do your math on your own and you see and experience how other people's mindset about money. Our game master, Sir Ronald Cagape, shared to us how to play the game. And he told us after playing the game for an hour equates to 10 years in real life. I really needed to change my strategy in playing the game. And after another 30 minutes of playing I was out the rat race. One of thing I learned while playing the game is that I should always be ready even for the small deals that come into my life. Many of us are waiting for that one Big Deal that we fail to see the many small deals that could lead us to that one big deal we are waiting for.

After the break, Ma’am Eden Dayrit talked about the 4F's in real estate investing. She also shared her past experiences in doing the business from a newbie's perspective. She also told us not to quit our job just yet while we are starting the business. Sometimes having a regular paycheck has an advantage when it comes to credit investigation. Banks wanted an assurance that you have a steady stream of income coming in every month that you could use to pay them. Talk about minimizing risk. Sir Ronald Cagape also shared his experience and talk about Doing the Numbers. One of the lessons I learned in the Cashflow game is that you really need to do your math before acting on every opportunity. Ma’am Leila Hernandez, the 9 to 5 Millionaire also shares her experiences in real estate investing. She started doing real estate investing while having a regular 9 to 5 job. She called it the weekend property investing. She's more of a Buy-and-hold type of investor. She rents out her properties so that she has passive income for eternity. She told us that while it is important that we enrich ourselves, it is also important that while we are employees we must also ensure that we provide our best in our line of work. Habit and mindset are really important in developing our skills and knowledge. Sir Edward Lee of COL financials shared to us the importance of Stock Market investing and the importance of starting early in life. Sir Victor Gamboa, shared the innovations that Think Rich Pinoy system are currently using.

The Think Rich Pinoy Seminar was really an eye re-opening experience for me. I came to seminar thinking many of my questions about real estate investing to be answered and many of those have been but still more questions arise. Now I really need to follow their steps and answer those questions. But in addition to the guidance and knowledge learned in the seminar was that I was able to meet like minded persons and be able to expand my network. What I learned in that one day of seminar inspired me to pursue further my dream of becoming a real estate investor.

Till next time. Ciao.
